| Ellen Fruchtman, President
Founder and President of Fruchtman Marketing, Ellen began her career as a production assistant and writer for Playmates Schoolmates, a syndicated children's program for Westinghouse Broadcasting Company. From there, she moved to WPLG-TV in Miami, where she created and produced Arthur and Company, an award-winning Post Newsweek syndicated children's program. Following her marriage, she accepted a position at WNWO-TV, Toledo, as producer of A.M. Magazine with Paul W. Smith. In 1981, she formed her own marketing firm.
Under her leadership, Fruchtman Marketing has provided advertising, public relations and branding strategies to some of the area's most prestigious clients including the City of Toledo, the Greater Toledo Convention and Visitors Bureau and Panera Bread franchise group. Focusing on retail marketing, Ellen serves as the account supervisor to over a dozen independent jewelers, jewelry manufacturers and industry organizations across the country including the American Gem Society, the American Gem Society Laboratories and the Diamond Council of America. and is currently working on branding strategies within the jewelry industry. Fruchtman also serves as marketing consultants to Scull and Company. Fruchtman's marketing program is providing double-digit sales increases for many of their jewelers and has been the subject of articles in National Jeweler. There work has also earned the company membership in the industry's most ethical and respected organization, the American Gem Society. Ellen currently hosts regular columns in InStore Magazine and Professional Jeweler.
Ellen is past president of the Advertising Club of Toledo; past member of the advisory board for the United Way; and past board member of the Toledo Repertoire Theatre, March of Dimes and the Better Business Bureau of Northwest Ohio. She currently serves on the membership committee of the Toledo Rotary Club.
